Senior Shared Services Manager - AP and AR

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£71,550 - £75,316 per year

We have an opportunity for a Senior Shared Services Manager - AP and AR to join our team, based in Worcester. This role will sit in the Corporate Shared Service Centre, managing or Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Teams.

Accounts Receivable manage payments coming into the Group, ensuring everything is posted accurately and timely. They are also responsible for reconciling bank accounts, managing suspense and creating charges on customer accounts.

Accounts Payable manage payments made by the Group, ensuring our suppliers are paid promptly. They process all supplier invoices, customer refunds and forms, manage queries and ensure regulatory requirements/submissions are made on time.

 

The role of Senior Shared Services Manager - AP and AR will include:

  • Leading the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Teams through a period of transformation, supporting managers to embed new processes, metrics and KPI's allowing us to deliver high quality services that meet the current and future needs of the Group
  • Support delivery of the CSSC Strategy and Roadmap to meet our objectives and ensure policies and procedures are implemented as appropriate
  • Establish and review key performance indicators and service standards
  • Ensure that accurate records are maintained to meet all regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Provide clear guidance, advice and support on operational practices to ensure compliance with Group policy, relevant legislation and best practice in order to minimise risk to the organization
  • Build manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Teams in a Shared Service Centre through periods of change
  • Experience of delivering against a strategic plan and managing conflicting deadlines and resources is essential
  • Considerable knowledge and experience of relevant regulations, legislation and current best practices
  • Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Robust experience in the use of SAP systems
  • Comprehensive experience of managing and developing people

  • Role salary is £64,460 with an additional policy allowance of £7,090 per annum (rising to £67,852 with an additional policy allowance of £7,463 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
