Senior Project Manager
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£54,197 - £57,050 per year
35 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
The role of Senior Project Manager sits within the Technology Delivery function, delivering technology change projects and programmes to the wider Group. The Projects and Programmes team is made up of 25 people.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide variety of stakeholders within Technology, as well as across the Group.
The role of Senior Project Manager will include:
- Overseeing and managing high profile and business critical projects throughout the project lifecycle through the effective control and utilisation of resources
- Managing, monitoring and ensuring delivery of agreed projects to improve Technology services as part of the overall Technology Strategy and operational delivery
- Developing, managing and implementing project plans to effectively manage and deliver Technology improvement projects
- Supporting the delivery of solutions that meet customer needs, working with internal and external stakeholders to project manage the implementation of service and product improvements
- Leading the development and control of Technology project management processes
- Applying project management methodologies to deliver IT projects to time, cost and quality, providing assurance to senior stakeholders that IT is delivering return on investment
Skills and experiences:
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
- Significant experience of working with project management methodologies to deliver IT business applications/software projects to time, cost and quality, manage risks and track benefits realisation
- Champion the value from project management to drive organisational maturity in project management
- Intermediate Microsoft 365 and Advanced Microsoft Project
