Legal Services Officer – Disrepair
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£33,397 per year
35 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 12 months
We have an opportunity for a Legal Services Officer within Disrepairs to join our team in Worcester. For this role you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an effective legal service ensuring the management of the Group's legal interests across the Group's operations.
The role of Legal Services Officer- Disrepair will include:
- Undertake advice work delivering high quality legal services, including the provision of accurate and timely legal advice and support in relation to Housing Conditions (Disrepair) Claims in line with relevant legislation and regulations
- Take ownership of managing an individual caseload of pre-action claims against the Group for Housing Conditions claims
- Support the management, development and implementation of effective systems and processes that enable the efficient delivery of legal advice and support to the Group
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice and information, often within short timescales, for the purpose of supporting front line staff across the Group
Skills and experiences:
- Paralegal experience or similar working within Litigation
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Experience of handling an independent caseload with good attention to detail
- Knowledge of the Pre-Action protocol for Housing Conditions
- Excellent Communication skills with both written and spoken English
