Legal Services Officer – Disrepairs

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£32,244 - £33,941 per year (pro rata)

 

35 hours per week

 

We have opportunities for Legal Services Officers – Disrepairs to join our Housing Litigation team, based in Worcester. The jobs sit within Legal Services which provides legal assistance and support to the Group to ensure compliance and regulator requirements are met.

 

We have one Permanent and one Temporary role for up to 12 months available.

 

The role of Legal Services Officer - Disrepairs will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely legal advice and information, often within short timescales, for the purpose of supporting front line staff across the Group
  • Undertaking advice work delivering high quality legal services, including the provision of accurate and timely legal advice
  • Supporting in relation to Landlord and Tenant matters in line with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Taking ownership of managing an individual caseload of pre-action claims against the Group for Housing Conditions claims
  • Coordinating, communicating and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Paralegal experience or similar working within Litigation
  • Experience of handling an independent caseload with a good attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law, statutory provisions and current best practice is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ethos for team working
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
