Finance Business Partner


Worcester based with an anticipated balance of home and office working


£33,913 per year


Temporary position for up to 12 months


35 hours per week


We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Housing Finance team based in Worcester. The role will focus on coordinating and transforming processes of financial services to deliver efficiencies across the team and business. You will provide key stakeholders essential information to ensure value for money and to support decision making. You will also be required to complete complex financial analysis ensuring high levels of accuracy are met. The role will include using financial systems and processes to ensure financial records meet legal and regulatory requirements and actively look for process improvements, in order to drive team efficiencies.

The role of Finance Business Partner will include:

  • Preparing business information for key customers and stakeholders to support decision making, business planning and effective financial management
  • Ensuring the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to financial controls to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met
  • Assisting in identifying process changes and efficiencies for the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the team
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with all key stakeholders, ensuring issues and shortfalls are addressed accordingly


Skills and experiences:

  • Some experience of undertaking a similar role
  • Working knowledge of rent regulation, legislation and current practice
  • Knowledge of financial systems e.g. SAP
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills and the ability to present information in a clear layout
  • Basic user of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent) or working towards further professional qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent is desirable
