Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Cleaning General Assistant for our Retirement Communities Service at Dunboyne Court, Torquay.

The role of a Cleaning General Assistant will include:

• Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen

• Helping to prepare meals and drinks by following food hygiene standards and ensuring the needs of our customers are met
• Working with customers, families, advocates and staff to ensure a high standard of services
• Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
• Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes

Skills and experiences:

• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential
• Some experience of working in a domestic/cleaning environment
• NVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering, or willing to work towards
• Working knowledge of food hygiene standards
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
