Temporary position for up to 12 months
We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Asset Manager to join us on a 12 month contract. The role is based in the North and will cover the North and North West Region. The role will cover asset planning and delivery of an annual programme in excess of £20m. It also covers the management of works related to statutory notices, including Disrepairs, EPA’s and Environmental Health.
The position sits within Property Services who are responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of external clients.
The role of Regional Asset manager will include:
- Line management of up to 9 staff (further 15-20 indirect reports)
- Deliver investment, cyclical and compliance programmes within agreed budgets through effective financial management to achieve timely completion of projects and ensure value for money, managing contractors accordingly
- Encourage client involvement and feedback to ensure capital and revenue projects are accessible and responsive to customer’s needs. Adopt a positive and proactive attitude in response to customer complaints and identifying any shortfalls in service delivery ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
- Ensure investment works are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations on changes that may need to be made mid-project to maintain full compliance and consistent delivery of services
- Managing the delivery of repairs related to the Disrepair, EPA’s and Environmental Health Notices
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must hold a Building related degree, relevant professional qualification, you will also be qualified to RICS Associate status or similar or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Robust knowledge of building regulations, legislation and current practice
- Working knowledge of the construction and housing industries
- Good Technical Report and Committee Report writing skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
