Asset Surveyor
Covering Sheffield and Leeds
£42,400 - £44,631 per year plus Company car or car allowance
40 hours per week
We have an opportunity for as Asset Surveyor to join our Asset Delivery team. The main purpose of this role is to deliver quality surveying and capital investment services that respond to customer, organisational and financial needs within regulatory requirements, the role will include a mix of home, office and site working.
The role of Asset Surveyor will include:
- Undertaking stock condition surveys and other property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
- Project management of planned works
- Attending and contributing to on site meetings
- Coordinating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of progress by providing clear and precise updates
- Managing external contractors to ensure maintenance work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and programmes
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to Degree, HND or HNC in Surveying, AssocRIC, MRICS CIOB or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third party suppliers
- Experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment
- Working knowledge of legislations and best practice
- Ability to extract and interpret computerised information and documentation
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- Role salary is £36,850 with an additional policy allowance of £5,549 per annum (rising to £38,790 with an additional policy allowance of £5,841 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
The full time equivalent salary for this role is £32,244 with an additional policy allowance of £4,855 based on 35 hours per week rising to £33,941 with an additional policy allowance of £5,111 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
