Homeownership Officer
Manchester
£32,887 - £34,617 per year plus £600 car allowance
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm
We are looking to recruit a Homeownership Officer to join the Homeownership team in Manchester. You will be responsible for delivering a responsive and customer focused homeownership management service. In this role, you will be part of a strong and experienced team, where training and development are of prime importance to encourage staff progression. You will have the opportunity to develop your team and contribute to delivering a customer-focused service.
The role of Homeownership Officer will include:
- Delivering a high-quality leasehold management service, aligned with relevant legislation, internal policies and good practice
- Managing leaseholders’ expectations regarding communal repairs and providing support, where appropriate, regarding other repairs issues
- Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection)
- Providing advice and responding to queries on all aspects of service charge budgets and accounts
- Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting resident welfare including; domestic abuse, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding
- Working closely with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tasks related to managing leasehold properties
Skills and experiences:
- Proven experience of undertaking a similar role
- An understanding of homeownership and leasehold management
- Previous experience in managing staff
- Prior experience of delivering high quality customer services
- Experience in complaint handling will be pivotal in your pursuit to provide a positive experience to a diverse group of customers with enthusiasm and confidence
- Excellent skills in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
- An understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
- Travel will be a requirement of the role; therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
