Compliance Assessor
London based with a balance of home and office working
£49,179 - £53,325 per year plus company car or car allowance
35 hours per week
We currently have an opportunity for a Compliance Assessor to carry out risk assessments, fire risk assessments and audits for the full portfolio of properties within the Group, ensuring the Group's high standards of safety are maintained.
The job sits within Compliance, which is responsible for managing the Group's compliance responsibilities including gas servicing and fire risk assessments to ensure the Group's properties comply with legislation.
The role of Compliance Assessor will include:
- Undertake fire risk assessments, audits, inspections and surveys as directed across a broad range of stock, including works completed by internal and external contractors, in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and ensure risk to the Group is minimised
- Manage works related to fire risk assessments, inspections and surveys within agreed financial limits and in accordance with the organisation's financial policies and procedures
- Produce reports and documentation for work specifications to assist in addressing and resolving issues to ensure the Group is compliant with relevant legislation
- Raise awareness of fire risks and promote fire safety measures to support the maintenance of safe environments for staff and customers
- Coordinate, communicate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to Fire Risk Assessor Level 4 (FPA) or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
- Some knowledge of Fire regulations including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, legislation and current and good practice
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

- Role salary is £36,725 with an additional policy allowance of £12,453 per annum (rising to £38,658 with an additional policy allowance of £13,109 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
- If qualified to FPA Level 4 role salary is £36,725 with an additional policy allowance of £13,933 per annum (rising to £38,658 with an additional policy allowance of £14,667 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
