Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

 

We are seeking a Waking Nights Bank Care and Support Assistant to join our team. Located in a quiet, residential area on the outskirts of Leicester, Skelton Court is a residential care home with 15 en-suite bedrooms. We provide residential care and support for adults aged 18 or over, who have a range of learning disabilities and complex or high needs, including dementia.

The role of Waking Nights Bank Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality personalised care and support service that meets individual residents’ needs
  • Delivering expert support to residents, including the sensitive delivery of personal care
  • Administering medication
  • Promoting safe practices by undertaking risk assessments and implementing safeguarding principles
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working in a similar, care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication skills allowing you to build strong relationships with our residents
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards

To carry out this role in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 you will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 by 11th November 2021, unless you are medically exempt.
