Multi-Trade Operative - Plumber

 

Hull

 

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

 

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

 

We are looking for a skilled Multi-Trade Plumber to join our team of operatives on responsive repairs covering the Hull area & parts of Lincolnshire. The role involves all aspects of plumbing, with the ideal candidate having experience and skills in basic carpentry, plaster patching & tiling. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work as part of a team. A company van and power tools are provided and the successful candidate will be required to join the emergency call out rota.

 

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

  • Attending occupied properties to carry out repairs, fault fixing and maintenance duties
  • Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition, maintaining a suitable van stock level, and restocking these when needed in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications
  • Being on the OOH callout rota for emergencies 1 in every 12 weeks

 

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing with Level 3 preferred, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.  Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
  • Additional skills in some of the following disciplines – Joinery and Wet Trades (plastering, tiling)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
