Senior Finance Officer

Worcester

£23,279 per annum pro rata (rising to £24,504 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) 

14 or 21 hours per week

The Senior Finance Officer will join the Service Charge team who are responsible for administering scheme accounts and budgets for the Group. This is a great opportunity for a pro-active, responsible individual to progress their career and develop account management and organisational skills. 

The role of Senior Finance Officer will include:
•    Providing accurate and timely financial information whilst maintaining effective financial systems, to support decision making and business planning 
•    Completing annual scheme accounts cycle and dealing with external auditors
•    Providing an effective administration service ensuring workloads are manageable in line with business requirements
•    Identifying areas for improvement and shortfalls in service delivery and recommending actions to remedy this, as appropriate
•    Supporting other colleagues within the team to maintain high levels of productivity

Skills and experiences:
•    Previous experience of transactional drills
•    Experience of working within a similar role with strong analytical skills
•    Good working knowledge of invoice processing and experience in supporting team members
•    Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
•    AAT part/fully qualified, or equivalent level of qualification
•    Experience of using SAP, Microsoft Excel and Outlook

This position can be either 14 or 21 hours per week (7 hours per day) depending on the successful candidate’s preferences, working days to be discussed but preferably 2 or 3 consecutive days.
