Senior Finance Business Partner

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£48,091– £57,463 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Development Finance team based at our office in Worcester. This role will be managing and working with a dynamic and focused team and will include the preparation of management information, financial analysis, annual budgets and various reporting to industry regulators. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has the determination and drive to help us achieve our ambitious goals in a challenging and rewarding environment.

 

The role of Senior Finance Business Partner - will include:

 

  • Supporting the wider Development function in its delivery of its development programmes
  • Reviewing and appraising complex or strategic development opportunities
  • Assessing the financial and commercial risks of new investment proposals, applying sensitivity and scenario analysis, and identifying mitigating actions for risk
  • Monitoring and reporting on status and progress of existing development projects
  • Monthly management and project reporting
  • Reporting and preparing information as required for the Executive Committee, Directors and other key stakeholders to support decision making and business planning
  • Managing, forecasting and budgeting process for Development projects
  • Supporting the Development Sales Team in providing timely and accurate information and reporting
  • Providing leadership to a small team and ensuring processes are being followed in line with regulatory, statutory and business requirements
  • Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring any issues and shortfalls are addressed
  • Supporting the progress of New Build Development programmes and processes in line with the Group's strategy to safeguard the organisation’s financial interests ensuring accurate, useful, and timely reporting
  • Assisting in the review, development, implementation and monitoring of systems to ensure a robust control environment is maintained

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience within a similar role ideally with a construction background (though not essential)
  • A highly motivated self starter with the ability to make a difference assisting with the delivery of our ambitious development programme
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Experience of business partnering, working with both finance and sales teams
  • Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar professional qualification
  • Approachable with great communication skills at all levels.
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or similar

  • If working towards qualification, salary is £43,325 with an additional policy allowance of £4,766 per annum (rising to £45,605 with an additional policy allowance of £5,017 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
  • If a fully qualified Accountant, salary is £43,325 with an additional policy allowance of £11,265 per annum (rising to £45,605 with an additional policy allowance of £11,858 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
