Project Worker

 

Hazel Court, Worcester

 

£9.20 per hour (rising to £9.69 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

37.5 hours per week – to include sleep-ins

 

 

We are seeking a Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Hazel Court offers 14 purpose-built apartments providing housing and support for adults with learning disabilities. The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided to empower our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Assessing clients’ needs, writing and updating support plans
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Supporting clients to develop greater independence

Skills and experiences:

  • A sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management, and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • Experience of motivating and empowering individuals to reach their goals
  • Experience of providing and supporting clients with personal care
  • A positive approach to challenging behaviour
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced
  • Some experience of working with clients with mental health and/or complex needs
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
