People Business Manager

We are seeking a People Business Manager to join our team in Worcester. The role sits within Group HR Services, which is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Learning & Development, developing policy and supporting managers. As a People Business Manager your main responsibilities are ensuring consistent delivery of employment advice and effective project management of complex HR projects in order to minimise risk to the business.

 

The role of People Business Manager will include:

  • Participating in the development and delivery of the Group’s HR strategy, in support of the Group business objectives
  • Managing Employee Relations with team members to deliver high quality services to support the needs of the Group and enable them to perform at consistently high levels
  • Developing and monitoring employee relations framework to assist the HR department to deliver quality, expert advice
  • Providing managers and staff with clear guidance and advice on complex employment related issues
  • Planning, managing and implementing special programmes and projects in support of the Group’s activities, including implementation of mergers and other TUPE transfers
  • Delivering services through effective financial performance/budgetary management to achieve value for money
  • Contributing, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
  • Working knowledge of current employment legislation and good practice principles
  • Proven experience of dealing with complex acquisitions and TUPE transfers
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work loads
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
