Information Officer


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£29,227 - £30,765 per year


35 hours per week


We have an opportunity for a Information Officer to join our Data Protection and Information team which sits within our wider Legal and Governance team, based in Worcester. The team of 4 is responsible for providing high quality advice, support and guidance on data protection and information regulations and legislation across Sanctuary.   


The role of Information Officer will include:

  • Support to the company on day-to-day data protection issues including establishing, maintaining and refreshing compliance policies and procedures, guidance, toolkits, training and undertaking data protection audits
  • Provide high quality advice, support and guidance on data protection and information regulations and legislation across the company, covering all aspects of data protection law and information law
  • Providing advice to Sanctuary employees on the rights of data subjects, reviewing and advising on data processing agreements and data sharing arrangements, data transfer agreements, standard contractual clauses, technical and organisational measures and privacy notices


Skills and experiences:

  • Recent experience undertaking a similar role
  • Some experience of Data Protection practices in a medium to large organisation
  • Some knowledge of the Data Protection Act
  • Some experience of reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
