Information Officer


£27,273 per annum (rising to £28,709 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) 

35 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join Sanctuary’s Legal Services team who assist in providing legal advice and legal services across the Group, including on property, housing, commercial and data protection matters. This is a varied role where no two days or queries are the same.

The role of Information Officer will include:
•    Monitoring and maintaining the Group’s dashboards which log and record data subject access requests, data breaches and general data protection queries from Sanctuary employees
•    Working closely with the Data Protection Officer and Legal Counsel on data protection matters
•    Dealing with data subject rights, data breaches and ensuring we are compliant with the Data Protection Act

Skills and experiences:
•    Experience in a similar role, preferably working for a local authority or a housing association 
•    Good working knowledge of current data protection law
•    Excellent time management and organisational skills
•    Outstanding communication skills
•    Proficient user of Word, Excel and Outlook
