Finishing Manager

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£36,788 - £38,724 per year

 

Plus Company Car

 

40 hours per week

 

We have an excellent opportunity for a Finishing Manager to join our ambitious Construction team. In this role you will supervise the carrying out of construction, defects and fault fixing duties and agreed works in accordance with specifications and within contractual timescales. Ensure works are carried out to agreed standards and highlight and rectify any defective works through the management system. The role of Finishing Manager will include:

  • Ensure Contractors are completing works to agreed timescales and quality standards and highlight any issues to both the subcontractors and management
  • Manage subcontractors during their works on site
  • Manage on site health and safety ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and company policy and procedures
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
  • Manage the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders including subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assist operational staff in resolving difficult problems, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Make appropriate recommendations and provide timely solutions to ensure construction projects are delivered in line with legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation for completed work is collated and passed on to the relevant teams

 

Skills and experiences:

  • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience in one or more relevant trade
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role, preferably within a building maintenance or construction management environment
  • Proven experience analysing and diagnosing complex problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
