Director’s Secretary

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£26,982 - £28,402 per year

 

35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm

 

Temporary position for up to 12 months

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent Secretary with a strong attention to detail to join our Affordable Housing Finance Team. In this role, you will support the Finance Directors with day-to-day tasks, manage their diary, and help prioritise their workload.

 

Our Finance team oversees the management of affordable housing budgets, covering areas such as housing, customer experience, compliance, and property services.

 

Although you will be confident in working independently much of the time, you will keep in regular contact with the Finance Directors and frequently collaborate with staff across the Affordable Housing team. You will also liaise with other secretaries and directors as needed.

 

The role of Director’s Secretary will include:

 

  • Supporting the Finance Directors with daily tasks and prioritising their workload
  • Managing the Finance Directors’ diary
  • Ensuring deadlines are met for both yourself and the Finance Directors
  • Responding to ad hoc requests as needed
  • Preparing and compiling information and reports for the Finance Directors in a timely manner
  • Maintaining effective communication and good working relationships with internal and external contacts, including managing emails on behalf of the Finance Director
  • Handling HR processes such as recruitment and approving annual leave and expense claims

 

Skills and experiences:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar secretarial role, or an NVQ in business administration
  • Experience in writing board reports is desirable
  • Ability to think on your feet and solve problems
  • Experience handling confidential and commercially sensitive data
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer care skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads effectively
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
