Assistant Finance Business Partner

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£35,468 per year

 

35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 

 

Temporary position for up to 12 months

 

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our Property Services Finance team based in Worcester. Joining a team of 14 you will provide business partnering and analytical support for Property Services with annual expenditure of circa £154m. In this role you will be responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts, analysing large sets of data and assisting with budgets, forecasts and month end postings.

 

The role of Assistant Finance Business Partner will include:

  • Maintaining and developing reports which monitor commitment against forecast and budget for the Teams and Group expenditure
  • Preparation and parking of journals including accruals, miscodes and invoicing of works, confirming a robust audit trail is present
  • Supporting with a project to transform reporting capabilities to increase insight and value from reports, to improve the budget, forecasting and reporting processes
  • Assisting with the review, development, and maintenance of monitoring systems, including process improvements
  • Ensuring the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to financial controls to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met, including effective management of all supporting processes
  • Improving collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring early detection and resolution of issues are implemented
  • Producing monthly management account packs for Senior Management, meeting key deadlines
  • Undertaking ad hoc analysis, scenario planning and balance sheet reconciliations.

 

Skills and experiences:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • SAP analytics cloud experience would be desirable
  • Experience of management accounting for maintenance/ property services/ manufacturing sectors would be advantageous
  • Recent experience of working in an analytical finance role and working with large data sets is essential
  • Ability to work independently, with large sets of complex data
