Deputy Local Service Manager – Part Time


Surrey Services – Willow House, Woking and Chart Lane, Reigate


£21,009 per annum (rising to £22,115 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) pro rata salary


30 hours per week – 4 shifts across Monday to Friday



We are seeking a Deputy Manager to make a real difference to the lives of our service users in our two supported housing mental health services in Woking and Reigate. Working closely with the Local Service Manager, you will ensure the recovery approach is embedded in everything we do to support our service users to develop the skills and confidence to move into more independent accommodation.  At Willow House and Chart Lane we provide low to medium levels of support during the day with an out of hours response and on-call service.

The role of Deputy Local Service Manager will include:

  • Managing, recruiting, developing and training staff, devising and managing effective rotas.
  • Promoting best practice within the team, leading by example and ensuring service users voices are heard.
  • Supervising the use of Recovery Star to ensure that effective support is in place and that risk management plans whilst keeping people safe enable positive risk taking.
  • Working effectively with stakeholders and other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure the needs of service users, Local Authority and commissioners are met through the provision of a high quality supported housing service.

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven management or supervisory experience gained within a supported housing or care service.
  • Compassionate, caring and hard working with a hands-on approach to management
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proven track record of developing relationships with partner agencies and key stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of current housing legislation, safeguarding practice, and data protection laws
