Project Worker – Part Time

Coverdale, Witham

£9.66 per hour (rising to £10.17 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

28 hours per week

 

We are seeking a Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Coverdale is a supported living scheme for people who suffer from mental health problems. We support people to live in their own flats and establish the skills needed for independent living. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team. 

 

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Providing support to clients as and when required, working towards empowering them to succeed and move into their own independent accommodation
  • Recording daily notes, assessing clients’ needs, writing and updating person centred action plans
  • Completing assessment interviews and risk assessments, effectively communicating what support the client will require
  • Taking the lead in one of our ‘Champion Areas’, which include safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety and assessment and support planning
  • Conducting health and safety checks, including completing risk assessments, recording accidents and reporting repairs
  • Liaising with external agencies to ensure a robust plan is in place to meet the needs of the individual by working in partnership with key experts

Skills and experiences:

  • You will have good interpersonal and customer care skills with an approachable attitude
  • You will have effective communication skills with the ability to relay complex information clearly
  • A calm demeanor, as you will sometimes encounter challenging situations
  • Some experience in tenancy support would be beneficial
  • Previous experience working for clients with mental health needs is desirable but not essential
  • GCSE’s in English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent, is essential
