Estate Technician

 

Ladysmith House, Taunton

 

£23,890 - £25,147 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team based in Taunton and covering various sites across Somerset carrying out general grounds maintenance for a number of sheltered housing schemes. Other ad hoc duties including basic repairs and caretaking will also be required. A van and tools will be provided to assist in this role. Development opportunities are available within the team for you to develop your skills and career.

 

The role of Estate Technician will include:

  • Undertaking grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting, pruning, weed/moss treatment
  • Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
  • Providing accurate information and updates on the progress of allocated work

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent would be desirable
  • Recent experience in interpreting written instructions and maintaining simple written records
  • Complying with health and safety requirements in accordance with supplier guidelines and assessments
  • Previous experience in working with Housing Associations would be an advantageous, but not essential
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
