Multi-Trade Operative

 

West Bromwich - Covering the Midlands including Birmingham, Banbury and Telford

 

£28,265 per annum (rising to £29,752 per annum after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

 

40 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Planned Works team in the Midlands. The role will be responsible for window and door installations, kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, installing external ramps and fire doors. There are currently 27 Operatives in the team covering different sites across the Midlands and the role will include both lone and team working. The role will include a company van and tools providing a high quality maintenance service to our customers.

 

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

  • Attending properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
  • Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Recent experience undertaking a similar Multi-Trade role within construction or building maintenance sector
  • Skills in some of the following disciplines – window & doors installations, kitchen fitting, bathroom fitting, plumbing, carpentry, tiling and groundworks
  • Experience in working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
