Electrician

 

West Bromwich - Covering Birmingham, Banbury, Telford

 

£30,188 per annum (rising to £31,777 per annum after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

 

40 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our Planned Works team covering the Midlands. The role will be responsible for upgrading kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms. The role will work within a team of 27 and will work together to provide a high quality maintenance and repairs service that meets contract and customer expectations. We are looking for someone with experience in re-wires, general electrical works and upgrading new CCU’s maintenance repairs. The role will include a company van and tools to ensure a quality service is provided to customers and training will also be provides as and when needed.

 

The role of Electrician will include:

  • Maintaining electrical installations and replacements in tenanted and void properties, ranging from light fitting to partial/full rewires
  • Inspecting and testing of occupied properties, ensuring safety and compliance
  • Completing all paperwork and producing certification associated with works undertaken 
  • Monitoring and maintaining good levels of van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a suitable condition

 

Skills and experiences:

  • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience as an Electrician (Part P and 18th Edition preferred)
  • Current Certificate to BS2391 or equivalent standard in testing and inspection
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
