Painter and Decorator

 

Minworth, Sutton Coldfield

 

£26,415 - £27,805 per year

 

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

 

We are seeking skilled Painter and Decorators to join our Operations Response and Major Works teams at Sanctuary Housing in the Midlands. In these roles, you will be responsible for providing timely and efficient reactive repairs to our properties, specifically focusing on damp and mould treatment. Additionally, you will also assist with external repairs, such as gutter cleaning. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively, using your expertise to resolve issues and maintain our high standards of customer service. We will provide you with a company van and power tools for business use, as well as ongoing training to support your professional development.

 

The role of Painter and Decorator will include:

  • Conducting responsive repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied properties within our Social Housing portfolio
  • Troubleshooting problems and taking necessary action to ensure swift resolution, whilst keeping customers informed throughout the process
  • Maintaining an appropriate level of van stock and restocking as needed
  • Providing clear and timely updates on the progress of repair works to customers

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in Social Housing is preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Additional skills in some of the following disciplines such as painting and decoration and commercial and domestic cleaning
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

 

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
