Bank Project Worker

 

Normanhurst, Shoreham-by-Sea

 

£9.66 per hour (rising to £10.17 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

We have a great opportunity for a Bank Project Worker with the passion and drive to provide support, enabling our residents at Normanhurst, who have a range of complex needs, to achieve their potential and live more independently within their community. You will use your skills to work with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents. The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

  • Ensuring that relevant support is provided to our residents, so they can reach their own potential and level of independence
  • Promote safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
  • Regularly assessing the needs of our residents, writing and updating support plans
  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and resident queries
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required

Skills and experiences:

  • Good skills in maintaining accurate records and support plans
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents’ independence to be enhanced
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills, allowing you to build strong working relationships with residents
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
