Senior Maintenance Surveyor
Sheffield – covering the North Region
£41,823 - £44,024 per year plus Company car
35 hours per week
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Surveyor to join our team based in the Sheffield, covering the North region. The role will involve managing a team of 4 Maintenance Surveyors, monitoring works progress and post inspections as well as liaising with external contractors.
The role of Senior Maintenance Surveyor will include:
- Supporting the delivery of a cost effective maintenance service by operating within appropriate financial policies, procedures and budgets
- Producing appropriate reports relating to surveying and cost on specific maintenance issues to enable them to be addressed and resolved
- Ensuring that health and safety and healthy working conditions are promoted within their area of responsibility
- Attending regular performance reviews with the contractors
- Managing the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure that skilled staff are available to meet business needs
- Effective complaint investigation and resolution, liaising with key stakeholders and external agencies where required
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the operational delivery of a cost effective medical adaptations service by operating within appropriate financial policies, procedures and agreed budgets
Skills and experiences:
- Building related degree, relevant professional qualification or knowledge and ability at an equivalent level
- HNC in Building and Surveying or similar
- Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within a building and surveying environment with a good working knowledge of building regulations, legislation and current practice
- A trade background in social housing would be beneficial, but not essential
- Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third party suppliers
- Working knowledge of legislations and best practice
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
