Deputy Regional Head of Service – Property Services (North & Northwest Region)

 

Location: Based anywhere within the North and Northwest of England

 

Salary: £73,668 per annum, rising to £77,546 after 12 months (subject to satisfactory performance)

 

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Sanctuary Property Services is seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Regional Head of Service to join our senior leadership team. Covering a diverse portfolio of over 27,000 homes across the North and Northwest of England, this is your opportunity to shape and lead high-quality, customer-focused property services at scale.

As Deputy Head, you will support the operational leadership and performance improvement of our in-house repairs, voids, compliance, estate services, and planned maintenance teams. You will also play a key role in health and safety, asset reinvestment programmes, and the management of our supply chain and framework contractors.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting the delivery of responsive repairs, voids, estates, and planned investment programmes through internal teams and external partners
  • Driving operational performance, value for money, and enhanced customer experience
  • Managing capital and revenue budgets to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and supply chain partners
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices across the region
  • Supporting compliance, health and safety, and surveying activities with robust governance
  • Contributing to regional and national strategic decision-making with senior leaders

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Substantial experience in property services leadership, ideally within housing or a similar sector
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in delivering operational improvements
  • Experience in managing people, projects, and budgets in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Deep understanding of housing legislation, compliance, and asset management practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on outcomes, customer service, and innovation
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and risk management practices
