Accommodation Manager


Tramways, Salford


£25,165 - £26,489 per year


35 hours per week


We are looking to recruit an Accommodation Manager to join our team at Tramways accommodation in Salford, where you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day management of the site and staff. You will work in a challenging and rewarding environment which will offer excellent opportunities to develop within the team and company. The ideal candidate would be someone who has working knowledge of working as a Deputy or Assistant Manager of student accommodation with a minimum of two years’ experience looking to take the next step in their career. This is an exciting opportunity within Sanctuary Students as we have recently been awarded with the Gold standard Investors In People accreditation.


The role of Accommodation Manager will include:

  • Managing occupancy through direct let sales
  • Preparing and managing local budgets, monitoring accounts and facilitating debt recovery
  • Ensuring the site is presented to a high standard at all times
  • Managing and resolving maintenance issues
  • Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff
  • Developing and implementing effective operational plans to ensure that service delivery meets contracted quality standards


Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of working in the student accommodation sector is essential
  • Proven experience of staff management within a customer facing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
