Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker at our Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services.

The role of Project Worker will include:
- Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
- Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
- Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem
- Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
- Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
Skills and experiences:
- You will have previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background gained in a supported living environment in a project worker capacity
- Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management
- Good understanding of occupancy agreements
- The ability to react effectively under pressure
- The ability to work on your own initiative and ability to source innovative solutions to problems
- You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills
- NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is essential
