Mobile Caretaker

London – covering Bromley, Streatham, Brixton, Croydon

£26,963 - £28,383 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Estate Services team, based in London. As a Mobile Caretaker you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas of our sheltered, supported living and general needs properties. You will work alongside another caretaker in a team of 2 and will have a company van for business use only.

The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:

• Undertaking general caretaking and cleaning duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, communal lounge and rest room areas, moving bulk waste
• Grounds maintenance tasks when required to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
• Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
• Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

Skills and experiences:

• Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C English and Maths GCSE
• Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
• Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
• Good communication and customer care skills
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
