Mental Health Support Worker – Part Time

 

Lambeth Low Level Mental Health Supported Housing Service – London, SW2

 

£10.75 per hour (rising to £11.08 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

30 hours per week

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our clients at Trelawn Road, part of the Lambeth Low Level Mental Health Supported Housing Service. This position will require flexibility to work across services in Lambeth in a variety of shared accommodation providing support to adults with mental health needs.

The role of Mental Health Support Worker will include:

  • Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided to encourage our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Assessing clients’ needs by writing and updating support plans
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience in a similar role working with people who are experiencing mental health issues is essential
  • A sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management is desirable
  • Good understanding of occupancy agreements
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, sourcing  innovative solutions to enhance the independence of clients
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
