Local Service Manager – Tier 2

Victoria Road, Haringey, London, N4

£38,059 per annum (rising to £40,062 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

37.5 hours per week – 9am – 5pm


We are seeking a Local Service Manager to help lead our team at our Haringey Thrive services, which support people with forensic mental health needs. With previous experience working within the mental health care sector in a supervisory role, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff to success, representing the service within the local community and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the scheme.  

The role of Local Service Manager will include:

  • Overseeing the overall delivery of the service, through the management of staff and liaising with the Area Service Manager
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and relevant external agencies
  • Carrying out housing management tasks, such as handling tenancy issues and overseeing rent accounts, for multiple locations
  • Responsibility for the general maintenance of properties and liaising with contractors
  • Interviewing potential tenants

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience working in a managerial role within a similar service, including the ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills, is essential
  • Experience of working with people with mental health and associated needs
  • Experience of working in a person centered way, supporting service users to maximise opportunities for personal development
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour Support.
  • A good understanding of mental health legislation.
  • Travel is a requirement of the role; therefore a full, current driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential
