Landscape Technician Charge Hand
Bromley, covering South and Central London and surrounding areas
£28,268 to £29,756 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:30pm
We are looking for a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our team based in South East London and surrounding areas. You will work alongside 2 other Landscape Technicians visiting a variety of properties, providing ground maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge cutting, shrub pruning and weed control in communal areas. A van will be provided for business use and it will be your responsibility to ensure it is kept in good condition.
The role of Landscape Technician Charge Hand will include:
- Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
- Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
- Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
Skills and experiences:
- A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent
- NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline is desirable
- Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- Role Salary is £27,487 with an additional policy allowance of £780 per annum (rising to £28,934 with an additional policy allowance of £821 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
