Caretaker
Bow Estate - London
£26,963 - £28,383 per year
40 hours per week – 07:00-16:00
We are looking for a Caretaker to join our Estate Services team based in London. As a Caretaker you will be responsible for carrying out an excellent caretaking service which will involve communal cleaning, sweeping, mopping and cleaning doors and windows. The role will involve a mix of lone working and working as part of a team of 4 Caretakers who may provide cover to other schemes when required. The ideal candidate will have either cleaning or caretaking experience, a track record of delivering high quality service, with the ability to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork.
The role of Caretaker will include:
- Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows and removing bulk waste
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include litter picking and general upkeep
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar cleaning role or completing similar tasks
- British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) would be advantageous
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Good communication and customer care skills
