Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Chef at at our CQC Registered Learning Disabilities Service, Skelton Court in Leicester

The role of Assistant Chef will include:

  • Delivering a high-quality versatile catering service that caters for our customers’ individual needs, including special diets
  • Assisting with the planning and creation of nutritionally balanced meals for our customers
  • Promoting and monitoring food hygiene and safety standards
  • Maintaining current risk assessments and cleaning the kitchen to a high standard
  • Ability to work alone, in absence of Chef Manager
  • Monitoring and ordering stock and receiving deliveries for the service

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working in a catering environment is essential along with experience of cooking for various groups of people
  • A valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is essential
  • Proven knowledge of health and safety procedures and operation of catering equipment is essential
  • Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to interact with our customers, visitors, and colleagues
  • Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality, or knowledge at an equivalent level
