Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Support Assistant at our Retirement Communities service at Wimborne House in Kent.

The role of Bank Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, hands-on support service
  • Supporting customers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
  • Encouraging customers to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
  • Positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers
  • Maintaining a safe environment for customers, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures, and practices

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Ideally you will have experience of working with adults with learning difficulties, however candidates with enthusiasm and a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn, are encouraged to apply, as we are committed to delivering a tailored training programme
  • Previous experience working within a team is essential
  • Initiative and assertiveness will also be key to your success, as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems, that allow independence to be maximised
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
