Bank General Assistant

 

Wimborne House, Gravesend

 

£9.16 to £9.44 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Bank General Assistant who will ensure high standards of cleanliness, whilst adhering to health and safety guidelines. In addition to this, you will also assist with meal preparation within our Taste restaurant and help serve meals. Our restaurant is open to residents from 9am-2pm, seven days a week for lunch and snacks.

 

Wimborne House is a Retirement Living Scheme, offering independent living apartments for people aged 55 and over. This is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Bank General Assistant will include:

  • Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas and the kitchen
  • Deep cleaning the apartments when they become empty
  • Carrying out room cleans of apartments and laundry services that have been pre-booked by residents, on an overtime basis
  • Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Providing a high quality catering service, including preparing and serving beverages and meals in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements
  • Ensuring residents’ privacy and dignity are maintained and respected at all times

Skills and experiences:

  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
  • Some experience of working in a domestic or cleaning environment
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, open manner are essential for success in this role
