Maintenance Caretaker

Kelvinhaugh Residences, Glasgow

£9.07 per hour (rising to £9.55 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

20 hours per week

The Maintenance Caretaker will be responsible for providing a safe and well maintained environment by carrying out general maintenance and caretaking duties in accordance with the needs and expectations of the customer and the business

The role of Maintenance Caretaker will include

  • Undertaking site repairs and maintenance duties which will include painting, and moving of furniture
  • Serving as a first point of contact for customers
  • Identifying and reporting any potential maintenance issues which require specialist or contractor attendance
  • Providing accurate and timely information to customers on the progress of works
  • Assisting in building checks and audits to ensure a health and safety compliant environment
  • Maintaining stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are available
  • Undertaking waste management and cleaning activities in line with site requirements

Skills and experiences –

  • Previous experience in a similar caretaking role is essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with fast changing requirements
  • Some experience of ground maintenance and decorating would be desirable
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • A full UK driving license is desirable
