Customer Care Finishing Operative
Ely
£29,490 - £31,041 per year
35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm
Temporary position for up to 18 months with a possibility of extension to 20 months
We are seeking a Customer Care Finishing Operative to join our team based in Ely. The role will report to the Head of Customer Care and sits within the Customer Care Team in Development. This role will be predominantly lone working but will have access to the office where another member of the team works. The Team provide Customer Service to the outright buyers of new build homes whilst they are under a 2-year defect period as well as dealing with reports of defects and complaints. Travel to other locations in the country may be required.
The role of Customer Care Finishing Operative will include:
- Day to day customer care visits to the property where we have had reports of minor cosmetic snags and defects
- Fixing minor faults which may include, paint work, plastering, scratches and other maintenance faults (Not covered by the builder)
- Travelling to various properties, diaries will be managed by the coordinators
- Carry out internal inspections
- Liaising with the Customer Care Coordinators daily
Skills and experiences:
- Relevant trades experience including carpentry/paint/plastering/tiling
- City and Guilds/NVQ Level in trades or equivalent
- Customer Service skills
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Able to use a Sanctuary tablet/internet/emails and recording information on the customer care app
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

- Role salary is £20,858 with an additional policy allowance of £8,631 per annum (rising to £21,956 with an additional policy allowance of £9,085 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
