Resource and Scheduling Manager

 

Chester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£38,329 - £40,347 per year

 

40 hours per week – Mon - Fri

 

We have an opportunity for a Resource and Scheduling Manager to join our team based in Chester. You will manage a planning team who are responsible for the effective scheduling and coordinating of field operatives. The ideal candidate would have previous experience managing a team within an office environment. This role may also be known as a Gas Planning Team manager. If you are a highly motivated and organised individual who thrives in a busy environment, this could be the role for you.

 

The role of Resource and Scheduling Manager will include:

  • Monitoring Operatives diaries to ensure efficiencies are gained and best routes for Operatives are taken
  • Managing the effective coordination and delivery of gas maintenance services through efficient planning of the field work force
  • Developing robust resource plans for the short, medium and long term with the operational teams to enable growth
  • Managing the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships within the team, encouraging personal responsibility, ownership and team work
  • Analysing internal and external data and make recommendations to drive the business forwards
  • Maximising team performance and KPI achievement
  • Managing the development and implementation of effective systems and processes that enable the accurate recording of service information
  • Develop and actively manage relationships with internal and external customers
  • Manage the production of quality statistical information on all areas of service provision to assist in target setting

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Degree or Management qualification
  • Working knowledge of delivering customer service excellence in a fast paced environment
  • Proven experience in a similar role at a management level, eg work force planning, logistics, scheduling
  • Some experience of delivering results through effective team management and development
  • Knowledge of work scheduling software
  • Proven experience of effective communication at all levels to build relationships and drive success
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Proven experience of analysing information and producing reports and recommendations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
