Bank Care and Support Assistant

Shaftesbury Place, Cheltenham

£10.99

Hours as and when required

Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

Could you support people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live more independently?

Would you like to make a difference that lasts long after the end of your shift?

If this sounds like you then we may have your perfect opportunity!

We are seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Shaftesbury Place. Located in a quiet, residential area of Cheltenham, our lively supported living service provides both residential care and supported housing with care for 28 adults aged 18-65. It has 16 bedrooms and two flats where residents can receive personal care and support, as well as 10 one-bedroom supported living flats.

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent Bank Care and Support Assistant. Above all, we want someone that shares in our values. These are:

  • Ambition - We invest in and care for our people and communities by offering the best standard of support and training for our staff
  • Diversity - We celebrate diversity and are committed to everyone having the same opportunity to access our services
  • Integrity - We will act honestly and openly in everything we do
  • Quality - We have high standards for all of our services and we focus on supporting people to achieve their goals
  • Sustainability - As a support provider, we make sure that our services are run effectively and efficiently, meeting people’s individual needs

You’ll be part of our wider team who prioritises going above and beyond to support our residents in reaching their goals and celebrating their achievements. We’re not just there for our residents though, we’re there for each other too.

We’ll nurture you by providing an induction programme, as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and support your progression. You will have access to Sanctuary’s Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

Sanctuary also has a great employee Rewards scheme, where you will be able to receive a variety of discounts from major retailers.

With us, you’ll be sure to push yourself emotionally, physically, practically and professionally – no two days are the same!

If you’re a person who encourages differences, and strives to treat others with dignity and respect, this is a great opportunity to join our like-minded, hardworking, and resident-focused team.
