Waking Night Care and Support Assistant 

 

Hilltop House, Bury St Edmunds

 

£8.94 to £9.22 per hour (dependent on qualifications) plus £9.48 for all hours worked as Designated Responsible Person

 

35 hours per week – 4 nights on and 4 nights off from 9.30pm to 7.30am

 

 

Recently rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Hilltop House is recruiting for a Night Care and Support Assistant to join our award-winning team. You will be providing personal care and support to our residents who are aged 18 or over and living with a range of physical disabilities. Set three miles from the town centre of Bury St Edmunds, Hilltop House provides care packages to 11 clients.  

 

Hilltop House was very proud to win the Great British Care Award for Putting People First/Personalisation and were highly commended by Suffolk Care Awards in 2019.

The role of Waking Night Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Assisting some clients with getting ready for bed
  • Helping some clients get up in the morning
  • Performing security checks throughout the night
  • Conducting night checks on some clients
  • Administering medication
  • Completing some domestic tasks including laundry, ironing and cleaning communal areas
  • Answering call system– there is on-call support from managers to provide emergency advice
  • Shifts will be lone working

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Passionate about providing a high standard of care to our clients
  • Previous experience working in a care related role
  • Comfortable working alone
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
