Project Worker – Temporary position for up to 6 months

 

Linden Road, Bognor Regis

 

£9.66 per hour (rising to £10.17 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

25 hours per week

 

 

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Project Worker to join our management team to work in our scheme for clients who are young people at risk. Working closely and in partnership with statutory agencies, including Social Services, Youth Services and the Local Authorities, we support young people to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to successfully move on into independent accommodation. This role will work across several West Sussex young people services. The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Ensuring relevant support is provided to enable our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Regular key working and support planning, developing a high quality, person-centred service
  • Assessing clients’ needs and writing or updating support plans
  • Developing professional working relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies, acting as an advocate when required
  • Actively encouraging choice and involvement with day to day life skills such as social interaction within the community

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management is essential
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and source innovative solutions for complex circumstances
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills allowing you to build strong working relationships
  • An understanding of occupancy agreements is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
