Trade Supervisor

Donside Village Square, Aberdeen

£35,134 per annum (rising to £36,983 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

40 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Supervisor to join our Planned Maintenance team based in Aberdeen. The team are responsible for carrying out major refurbishments across a number of schemes in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire. As Trade Supervisor you will manage and coordinate a large team of Trade Operatives; always ensuring the delivery of high quality construction, fault fixing and maintenance services.

The role of Trade Supervisor will include:

  • Visiting all sites on a daily basis to ensure works are carried out to a high standard, in line with Health and Safety requirements
  • Completing site surveys and meeting with clients to continuously improve service offering
  • Overseeing the storage of planned programs and all associated paperwork, liaising with internal teams
  • Responding positive to complaints, identifying obstacles that needs addressing so actions can be implemented to remedy these
  • Overseeing the recruitment, performance management and development of your existing team

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience within a construction,  building or maintenance background is essential
  • Demonstrable experience of managing/supervising staff within a responsive maintenance or planned works environment e.g. kitchen, bathroom, UPVC window or door installation projects
  • A successful track record of recruiting, retaining and performance managing staff
  • Working knowledge on the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • The ability to use and update computerised systems such as Microsoft packages and PDA
  • A company van will be provided for business use only, therefore a full, current driving licence is essential
