Technical Specialist


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£39,572 - £41,655 per year

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Specialist to join our End User Computing Team (EUC) at our Head Office in Worcester. You will join a team of 3 and contribute to the support and operations of our existing Endpoint and Application Delivery solutions as well as the delivery of strategic change projects. The Sanctuary Technology Team are delivering a Microsoft 365 Transformation and this role will offer the opportunity to be involved in that programme modernising our Endpoint Management Platforms, supporting the enablement and adoption of M365 applications and in doing so improving the experience for our staff. You will work with 1st and 2nd line teams resolving incidents and provide operational support across a range of industry leading technologies and modern devices.  


The role of Technical Specialist will include:

  • Supporting and maintaining End User Computing Technologies including Microsoft, Citrix, Mobileiron and Ivanti
  • Providing incident and problem support and working with customers, supporting our 1st & 2nd line teams
  • Developing IS infrastructure project plans, technical specifications, low-level design documents, roll-out/test plans and successful transition to service
  • Contributing to and influencing projects and programmes as part of our broader modernisation agenda


Skills and experiences:

  • Previous Experience of supporting the management of IS infrastructure in a large, complex organisation
  • Ability to support the management of medium to large scale infrastructure related projects
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting the resolution of technical infrastructure issues and providing 3rd line support to office based and mobile workers
  • Experience of relevant systems, tools and equipment including Microsoft (Windows 10, Intune & Autopilot, System Centre Configuration Manager), Citrix (XenApp, XenDesktop), MobileIron, Ivanti or equivalent EUC technologies
  • Good communication and customer care skills

  • £39,572 per annum inclusive of policy allowance (rising to £41,655 per annum inclusive of policy allowance after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)


Role salary is £28,375 with an additional policy allowance of £11,197 per annum (rising to £29,869 with an additional policy allowance of £11,786 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
