Senior Resourcing Advisor


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£32,925 per annum (rising to £34,658 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)


35 hours per week


We’re looking for an experienced resourcing expert to join our busy in-house Resourcing Team. Working collaboratively alongside a supportive team of 4 you will lead on recruitment activity across a number of our key business areas - Sanctuary Property Services (our in-house Maintenance function), Student Accommodation and Development (construction of social and specialist homes and large scale regeneration projects.) You’ll also be the recruitment lead for our Group Wide Apprenticeships programme.


In this varied role you will partner with your business areas to ensure manage multiple vacancies and recruitment campaigns. You’ll deliver projects to tight deadlines as well as developing innovative recruitment practices to ensure we are attracting and securing the highest quality candidates, through a wide variety of sourcing channels. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully recruiting into a range of roles at all levels, including both volume and senior hires, using direct sourcing methods. You may have worked agency side or in another in-house resourcing function. Either way you’ll come to us with a solid recruitment background, ideally in the business areas mentioned above, and will understand the challenges and opportunities that are presented on a daily basis.


The role of Senior Resourcing Advisor will include –

  • Partnering with hiring managers, advising on best recruitment practice, advertising and sourcing strategies and supporting them through the process where required
  • Liaising with hiring managers to undertake vacancy briefs
  • Monitoring applications, reviewing the effectiveness of campaigns, and using own initiative to provide solutions to improve future campaigns
  • Supporting our direct sourcing model to minimise external agency spend and to promote Sanctuary as an employer of choice
  • Using LinkedIn Recruiter to build talent pipelines and proactively source candidates for entry level through to senior management level roles
  • Delivering recruitment and selection training to hiring managers across Sanctuary
  • Assisting with project work e.g. ATS upgrade implementation and reviewing interviewing and shortlisting templates  
  • Maintaining excellent market knowledge and updating the business on current market trends and the impacts of these
  • Line management and mentoring of other team members


Skills and experiences –

  • Significant recruitment experience gained in-house or within an RPO or agency
  • Proven success in using a variety of direct sourcing methods to minimise agency usage with the ability to source creatively using social media tools and CV databases
  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience
  • A natural team player with high levels of self-awareness and resilience who can quickly establish credibility and build positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Able to work under pressure and manage own time and workload, and to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Experience of using SAP Success Factors or another Applicant Tracking System would be advantageous
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter to source quality candidates
  • Knowledge of the early careers space would be advantageous
