Senior Learning and Development Manager - Talent Development

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£49,126 - £51,711 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

We are looking to recruit a Senior Learning and Development manager to join our Leadership and Management team based in Worcester. The team supports the entire business on a variety of topics ranging from induction, personal and professional development workshops, all aspects of leadership development through to specially created bespoke pick and mix programmes.

 

You need to be creative, curious, with a desire for your team to be the best in what they do, an excellent facilitator and the ability to write learning that truly adds values. This role involves strategic thinking and development, whilst being hands on with all aspects of learning.

 

You must be a motivated individual who has a desire to add value, make a positive impact and demonstrate return on investment of key activities under your responsibility.  You will be an amazing team player and a passionate advocate for our wider Learning Academy. 

 

The role of Senior Learning and Development Manager - Talent Development will include:

  • Define and implement a strategy that ensures the effective delivery of talent development interventions across Sanctuary
  • Manage the provision of an effective consultancy and partnering service to key senior business stakeholders, delivering blended learning solutions, using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, our in-house Learning Zone, and face to face delivery
  • Manage the design, delivery, and evaluation of innovative, cost effective and good practice Learning and Development interventions to support significant business-wide change programmes
  • Manage and advise on approaches to talent development, including Investors in People, Sanctuary's Graduate Programme and Staff Awards
  • Facilitate learning across all levels within Sanctuary, ensuring as appropriate talent management activities are reviewed and regularly developed to support succession planning
  • Plan, manage and implement special programmes and projects, including significant business-wide change programmes and supporting change management
  • Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to ensure identified talent groups are effectively supported in their personal development

 

Skills and experiences include:

  • Chartered Member of the CIPD or equivalent
  • Coach Practitioner
  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
  • Proven experience of managing and developing staff, including remote staff    
  • Proven experience of assessing learning needs and evaluating learning and development programmes, including assessing the return on investment
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering talent development interventions to meet the complex needs of a wide range of delegates
  • Strong Microsoft Office user, including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word Also, competent using Zoom
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
